A practical design scenario

APQC classifies work; this original capability model describes what Horizon must be able to do. Links are proposed, partial many-to-many relationships, not APQC certification. Existing BPMNs are reference designs to adapt, not Horizon operating procedures.

Not assessed means unknown, not poor performance. Gap statements are fictional hypotheses to validate. Business capability maturity and AI readiness are assessed separately.

PUT THE MAP TO WORK

A controlled path from gap to improvement

  1. Discover. Validate applicability, current evidence, owner and dependencies. Keep unknowns explicit.
  2. Design. Adapt the BPMN, define human decisions and permitted agent actions, then establish a real baseline.
  3. Pilot. Start with product innovation, procurement, customer cases or maintenance. Test access, evidence quality, escalation and rollback.
  4. Review and extend. Compare outcomes with the agreed baseline. Human owners approve rollout and verify benefits.

No AI assistant on this page can execute work, change records, approve commitments or make decisions about people. Operational integration requires separate design and approval.

APQC attribution and model provenance

Original Horizon Industries capability design and partial process associations. APQC process identifiers and titles are sourced from Cross-Industry PCF 8.0. Reference BPMN availability reflects the current Studio catalogue.
